ABOUT

Jen Bergman

Jen Bergman is a public relations professional that has worked at the intersections of PR, non-profits, music, philanthropy and art for more than two decades. At this unique crossroads of interests, Jen has found great reward in helping passionate people spread the word about their life’s work.

To Jen, there is always a story to tell. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a wide variety of people and organizations, including musicians, CEOs, artists, authors, activists, and others and always enjoys uncovering- and telling- each distinctive story. Jen specifically manages the creation of each client’s narrative to resonate with the media they want to reach. As an outcome, Jen has placed clients in large, nationally recognized publications, such as USA Today and Rolling Stone, as well as local papers and electronic media throughout the Northwest.

Public relations is not solely about media stories when working with Jen: she will tap into her knowledge of event planning to create dynamic events that resonate with both clients and media; utilize her strong community ties to uncover strategic partnerships which leverage visibility for a client; develop and manage social media outlets to reach a diverse and growing population; and continually identify new and creative ways to introduce each client to a wider and more diverse audience. She especially enjoys ‘media training’ clients and helping them feel comfortable accepting the limelight for their accomplishments.

Jen received most of her “on the job” training at Vandenberg Communications (www.vandenbergcommunications.com), working for her dear friend and PR genius Nicole Vandenberg. Jen’s own story includes a love for her hometown Seattle, a weakness for good coffee and great wine (not always in that order), the joy and chaos of parenting three children, a deep appreciation for talented musicians and artists (an inherent gene which skipped her), and any excuse to spend a day on the beach.
